Microsoft SharePoint has since SharePoint Modern become an increasingly better tool, where you can make landing pages, an intranet, which collects information for all employees and a bunch of other fun stuff!
A lot has happened since SharePoint’s heavy on-prem days, and now more or less anyone can set up their own creative pages with built-in templates and you can embed the site as an app in Teams. Users no longer need to log in via browser to get to the information!
SharePoint has come a long way, and now there’s a new home page for SharePoint, filled with inspiration on what you can create; Newsletters, event announcements, project tracking areas, reports, market areas – this updated home page includes templates that connect you directly to your intranet for easier publishing!
And you’ll be able to find anything you’ve ever drafted or published here; you won’t have to look!
A new tab for building content
To make the best use of a page, you should have as much relevant information as possible for users, and now there will be a new tab with suggestions on how to build content.
A bit like design ideas in PowerPoint and Word
This tab allows you to browse and add content from multiple sites and how it can be posted.
SharePoint in email
There are still several employees here and there that you can’t reach on anything other than email, and Microsoft has solved it by sending news posts as email!
Here you also have access to several templates that look good both in email and online.
And as an added prize for those of us who like this, you can always look at a page analysis to see how many people have read the news post, whether it’s sent via Outlook or if it’s hosted on SharePoint!
