There is a lot of exciting activity happening within the IT community in Southern Norway. Digin has long wanted to initiate activities to increase IT competence for everyone interested, and now an exciting proposal has come from members.

Åsne Holtklimpen from Crayon and John Aleksander Moen from Cisco have long had the idea of a competence forum, and Åsne, together with her colleague Per-Torben Sørensen, got the ball rolling when they invited Digin for an inspiration coffee where we discussed how Digin can start a competence forum that opens doors for knowledge sharing and learning across the industry. The goal is to create an informal forum for competence by offering an opportunity for anyone interested in diving deeper into an IT-related topic. The initiative comes after several in the community expressed a need for competence development that is not necessarily aimed only at employees in IT companies, but also for anyone curious and wanting to learn more. Since many already share their knowledge with colleagues, why not extend this to more people?
